What’s the difference

There are different types of breeding

  1. A cattle is artificially inseminated, done by a technician | Insemination *on date*
  2. Natural breeding by a mating bull (observed natural jump on a bovine) | Breeding *on date*
  3. Natural breeding by a mating bull (natural jump in the period on bovine) | Breeding *from* – *to*
  4. Use mating bulls in one / more groups in the period (natural jump in the period with several bovine) | Use mating bulls, *from* – *to*

Conditions

In order to report the use of a mating bull to the breed society, the following conditions must be set in advance.

  • Making settings under Organization > Settings > Reproduction > Constants (Default ) > 2 Use mating bulls
  • male bovine animal must be active in the herd as a mating bull or breeding bull (Capture animal > Utilization)
    • optional: as a bull in Organization > Settings > Bulls
    • optional: hook on mating bull
  • Documented period (beginning and end) of the use of a mating or breeding bull
  • Updated recipient for messages – mating bull insert active

Use mating bulls

the mating bull bet is triggered by the following events

  • Capture animal of the beginning of the period via Capture animal > Reproduction > Use mating bulls
  • Adding female cattle to the cover group

Conditions for reporting

The generation of the message about the use of a mating bull takes place at:

  • Leaving the mating bull or breeding bull from breeding group
  • Leaving the female cattle from the breeding group
  • Death of the mating bull or breeding bull (or female cattle)
  • Leaving of the mating bull or breeding bull
  • Capture animal the end date of the usage
  • Capture animal of the PT of female cattle
  • Capture animal of the calving of the cattle
  • At the latest on the 200th day after the start of the use mating bulls period

The test is carried out once a day at the start of the program. If any of the above conditions occur, the message is created. This is then sent via the existing client to the recipient for the message.

  1. Open Capture animal > Reproduction > Use mating bulls

  2. Select the bull by double-clicking
  1. Select the group in which the bull is to be used
  1. Enter the date to start the bet or select
  1. To stop Capture animal, click Save (F2)
