When a heifer is calved, the animal remains in the current 0th lactation by default.

However, if the animal was so pregnant that it produces milk and must be used into the MRec, the heifer can be set on lactation 1.

The symbol appears in front of the lactation counter in info animal. With a click, the heifer is set to lactation 1. This process is unique.

There are 2 ways to capture the abortion. It is recommended to use the method via animal health alternatively via calving.

Calving

Capture calving, if the pregnancy duration is less than or equal to 210 days, it automatically becomes an abortion. In case of abortion (less than 90 days), there is no possibility to set lactation 1. If more than 210 days, it is a stillbirth and it is a “normal” calving.

Diagnosis (abortion)

When capturing a diagnosis of abortion, in addition to the above method (abortion as a type of calving), the analysis option takes place in the analysis health.
